Our plan for this wiki is to document anything specific to using Linux at Rose-Hulman. We'll show you some other resources where you can learn up-to-date information on how to use Linux, open-source software, or server management, just to make things less cluttered.

Due to COVID-19, these meetings will all likely be held virtually until the near future. We will not make in-person mandatory to be counted for attendance, and there will be other ways besides coming to meetings to be counted for attendance, such as showing interest in the Telegram. We want to make this club open and fair for everyone, so anyone who is sick will not be at a disadvantage.

We may not even be allowed to do in-person meetings depending on future campus policies. They aren't necessary for our club.

To join virtual meetings, go to https://meet.jit.si/RHLUG-Virtual-Meeting. If you don't have Ungoogled Chromium/Chromium/Chrome, click on one of the links here to get a tutorial for how to use the desktop app or the mobile app. Be sure to type RHLUG-Virtual-Meeting in the "enter a name for your conference" or "enter room name" box.

Meeting Times for 2020 Fall Quarter
* Arch Linux Basics

* Running your own website on a Virtual Private Server (VPS)
* Week 2 Installfest/Showcase Meeting (Official) - Tuesday 9/15/2020 from 7pm-8pm Eastern Daylight Time (sadly, we will most likely not have free food, since we don't want to do this in person and we shouldn't be sharing food now)
* Week 4 Meeting (Official) - Tuesday 9/29/2020 from 7pm-8pm Eastern Daylight Time
* Week 6 Meeting (Official) - Tuesday 10/13/2020 from 7pm-8pm Eastern Daylight Time
* Week 8 Meeting (Official) - Tuesday 10/27/2020 from 7pm-8pm Eastern Daylight Time
* Week 10 Meeting (Official) - To be determined. We will hold a vote on this in the Telegram group when the time comes.

Locations, dates, and times may change (especially if school closes sometime during the quarter due to COVID-19). Join the Telegram group to be notified of these changes immediately.

There are no official club meetings during finals week or breaks.

Wiki Information
Wiki Information
We're currently migrating/updating the information from:
See Wiki Information.
* the wiki from 2019, and we have a backup of only a few pages from in March 2018, sadly. Some of it is no longer relevant though, so new information will take its place.
* the old wiki, which we have a badly cached version of here since it has stability issues.
